CINEMA 4D PLAIN EFFECTOR VISIBILITY

That didn’t work the way I needed it to, but I figured out another way. No registered users viewing this page. Maybe this can help? Too many objects to use animated Display tags. Can anyone think of a way to make the objects fade on and off over a period of a few frames rather than simply jumping from hidden to revealed in one frame? In some instances this technique might come in handy – its using mograph falloff to set vertex weights which are used in the material alpha channel. Now, in my imagination I see all my cloners being visible at one end of my falloff, all of them being invisible at the other end, and in the middle they would all be randomly visible, weighted according to the fallof.

Of course influencing the display color with the plain effector beforehand. Can I cheat my way around that somehow?

Use the random effector to only randomize the weight of your clones, and then use a plain effector to effecto them invisible using scale. In some instances this technique might come in handy – its using mograph falloff to set vertex weights which are used in the material alpha channel. As the Effector moves through the group, object visibility blinks on or off.

So, here’s my issue. Was a pleasure seeing you again.

Plain Effector effecting opacity of clones (Alpha Color Shader not working) – Completely Lost…

I drew a red line. Originally there was a remark here about the posting time display on cgtalk, but i may have had my GMT and winter hour logic wrong. Maybe this can help?

I currently am using a Plain Effector with fall off to reveal and hide objects inside a Fracture object. Random effector falloff on visibility. Visibiloty there any way to force that? I add a random effector, set it to randomize visibility and add a linear falloff.

Basically, if you set the color Mode of your Plain Effector to “User Defined” and pick a color, then your Falloff will allow you to fade between that color and the clone’s default color which is set in the Generator’s Transform Tab. Too many objects to use animated Display tags.

I want to randomly hide my cloners using a falloff. Never could wrap my head around the color shader. That didn’t work the way I needed it to, but I figured out another way. Sign In Sign Up.

Now, in my imagination I see all my cloners being plxin at one end of my falloff, all of them being invisible at the other end, and in the middle they would all be randomly visible, weighted according to the fallof. Are you willing to post a simple sample scene?
